The Benefits
of Eating a Healthy Diet and the prevention
of hemorrhoids
Eating food to stay
alive is not enough. Particularly in today's
world where there is so much junk food
available. So many among us just packs a
lunch and moves, or eats a packaged quick
breakfast before rushing to office, all to
save time. The results are everywhere to be
seen. America today has the highest number
of obese people ever, and this obesity can
lead to heart attacks and other serious
problems. So what we need is a more balanced
diet to meet all our nutritional needs.
Eating healthy food is essential to lead a
healthy and long life.
What are Thrombosed Hemorrhoids?
Diets have been known to
affect Thrombosed Hemorrhoids. What exactly
are they? Hemorrhoids that lead to a clot
inside the Thrombus are referred to as
Thrombosed Hemorrhoids.
These clots appear in the veins of the
rectum under the skin and are visible to the
naked eye. They look like purple or bluish
skin-covered veins that bulge out. The
hemorrhoids can also be reddish in color.
Sometimes the hemorrhoids feel like a small
lump and an extension of the skin and cannot
be thus easily identified. Thrombosed
Hemorrhoids can be quite embarrassing.
Though extremely painful, but Thrombosed
Hemorrhoids normally do not need surgery,
but there are exceptions when the hemorrhoid
gets irritated and becomes inflamed in
extreme cases. In cases where surgery is
recommended, the entire vein is usually
removed. Hemorrhoids can be distinguished
into these two main categories – External
and Internal. External Hemorrhoids occur
outside the anus and are thus visible. They
can appear without any symptoms and when
inflamed, appear red in color. Internal
Hemorrhoids on the other hand occur inside
the anus canal and cannot be seen from
outside. Bleeding is the most common symptom
of internal Hemorrhoids. A huge number of
adults in the US are affected by
Hemorrhoids, and most of them are males over
50.
What is a Healthy Diet?
This is not an easy
question to answer. Because whet may be
healthy to me may not be healthy to you. Our
body structures differ and so our
nutritional needs will also differ. So we
need to plan by understanding our specific
body needs. But a healthy diet can be
defined as follows... A good and healthy
diet should be able to reduce the risks of
heart attack and stroke to the minimum. A
healthy diet should generally include
breads, potatoes and other cereals and must
be rich in fruits and vegetables. It should
also include milk and dairy products, meat
and fish.
Can a Healthy Diet prevent Hemorrhoids?
Experts are of the
opinion that a diet that has lots of fiber
in it is healthy for Hemorrhoid cases. A
person who is suffering also needs to also
drink plenty of water and other fluids.
Foods that are rich in fat, refined and
processed foods and dairy products are known
to cause constipation and thus should not be
part of a healthy Hemorrhoid diet under any
circumstances. Eating too much can also
cause the situation to worsen. Fiber rich
healthy diet usually has whole grains, whole
wheat, beans, oatmeal and dried fruit &
vegetables.
Conclusion
There are many reasons
why various kinds of Hemorrhoids including
Thrombosed Hemorrhoids happen. While it may
not be possible to prevent it from happening
always, but with the right kind of diet that
is healthy, Hemorrhoids can be contained,
cured quickly and stopped from resurfacing.
